Do you have an idea for a project or event that shares the spirit and objectives of Earth Day? Tell us how you would promote environmental stewardship locally and you could win a $2,000 grant to fund your idea.
On April 22, communities around the globe will mobilize to protect and restore our planet’s natural resources. Now more than ever, the world needs all hands on deck in the fight against climate change, deforestation and habitat loss. How would you rally your city behind a key preservation issue this spring? GOOD Maker will award a $2,000 grant to the top-voted idea that furthers the message of Earth Day. We recommend submitting a creative plan of action that would drive local participation and awareness such as a field trip or a fun workshop. Why not organize a trail cleanup? Or take a group of first graders on a birding adventure? Maybe you’ll plan an organic food festival, or beautify a neglected corner of your neighborhood with tree seedlings. Report back here with your proposed Act of Green, and you could win a grant to bring your idea to life. Please note that projects can be implemented within six months of the award date; they do not need to be carried out on Earth Day.
Submit a proposal between April 17 and May 15 (noon Pacific Time). From May 15-31, we’ll open it up to public voting. Rally your colleagues and friends to get behind your effort and join the GOOD community in selecting the winner.
